4 Ways To Regain Your Motivation

Embarking on a new business venture is one of the most energizing and exciting feelings in the world. You get fired up at the notion of being your own boss and can’t stop sharing your vision with everyone you meet. Unfortunately, for even the most seasoned entrepreneurs, stagnation sets in and you hit a plateau. When this happens, you may start thinking about throwing in the towel and giving up on your dreams.  Before you call it quits, here are four ways you can regain your motivation and put yourself back on the exciting path of success. 

Change Your View

If you find that your motivation has started to wane, the best way to regain it is to change your view; literally and figuratively.  Consider heading to the park, museum, or library to get some work done. The environment where you work matters when it comes to motivation. Changing your space not only gives you space to think and breathe, it gives you an opportunity to see things differently.  So, get out from behind your desk and go do something different! 

Change your Attitude

Take some time to envision your goals and what it will feel like to finally accomplish them.  Setting small, incremental milestones for each step of the process will help you to remain focused and keep your mind alert. Creating a vision board or reciting affirmations will also help to positively affect your attitude.  If you can see and feel it, you can create it. Before you know it, you will begin to see your goals manifest giving you a renewed sense of accomplish and motivation.  

Change Your Priorities

Take a long look at your calendar and determine if the activities you have scheduled are things that are important to you. If your schedule doesn’t list events that are important to you, then be prepared to make some changes. To help you regain your motivation, block out time on your calendar for the activities that will energize you, in mind, body and spirit.  are you craving out “me” time amongst your busy schedule? How about taking time out to exercise? 5 minutes for a power meditation? When you make your wellbeing a priority, you will not only feel better but you will think better too!  

Look at your Sphere of Influence

You are only as good as the people you surround yourself with.  Be sure you are not spending your time with negative people. Energy is contagious.  If you are lacking motivation, find ways to be around people who not only get that, but who can help you get out of the funk you are in.  Surround yourself with people who bring out your good qualities, who help you expand your mind and who are committed to helping you grow.  

Making these changes won’t be easy. They will require you to change habits, which can seem challenging at times. Do what you can to re-inspire yourself.  Your business depends on your motivation to succeed!
